About Light of Hope Foundation

Light of Hope Foundation Inc. is a community charity founded in 2005. Our work centres on inclusion, early intervention, cultural identity and practical opportunities for people to reconnect with others.

Our purpose

We create spaces where people can learn, express themselves, build everyday skills and make a contribution that matters to them. We recognise that experiences of trauma, migration, loss, disability and isolation can affect participation. Each person’s voice, choice and dignity guide our approach.

Our approach

Our existing framework connects Breathe • Ground • Connect with culinary learning, gardening, storytelling, cultural participation and suitable volunteer pathways. We focus on what a person chooses, what they can do with support, and how their skills may develop through practice. Participation is not conditional on disclosing personal history.

Working with others

With the person’s agreement, we work alongside relevant supporters, independent practitioners and partner organisations. Clinical assessment and treatment remain with appropriately qualified professionals; LOHF’s educational role focuses on learning and participation.
